The apex body of Kannada cinema Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce has taken the issue of ban on top stars like Kichcha Sudeep and Ramesh Aravind for a discussion on Monday evening meeting.

According to KFCC members the two stars instead of promoting Kannada films are taking part in Television channel programs via Big Boss 2 and Week End With Ramesh = one is in Suvarna satellite channel and the other one is in Zee Kannada.

The discussion finally did not yield final outcome. Yet the two big stars taking part (Golden star Ganesh is also taking up one for television channel) is affecting the Kannada film collection is the argument placed in today’s meeting.

The discussion was deferred to a future date. The discussion at the outset looks against democratic and no one can steal anyone job.

Later in the night when Kichcha Sudeep was brought this issue to the notice for a reaction he said - reacted in SMS message – Hi Sir, thanks for the update but can’t react on something that has not reached me…

However Ramesh Aravind on this move has reacted - 1) our constitution gives everyone the basic right to work. If I can act or direct or host a show or write a book or be a radio jockey I would like to explore all avenues.

2) Week end With Ramesh is a positive show celebrating achievers and inspiring young people to succeed. The reaction is phenomenal and people are so fond of it I would like to finish the first season as per my contract without disturbance.

3) I intend meeting the producers once I return from Chennai next week after completing my directorial Uttama Villain with kamal. Let me first understand their concerns and reasons behind their argument.

 

The KFCC without consulting or placing the issue to the Artists Association President Dr Ambarish is discussing has obviously irked many.

The word ‘Ban’ should be banned is the outcome of Kannada Film Producers Association. With Sudeep, Ramesh Aravind a lot of actors follows in the ban list. There are dozen actors inside the Big Boss 2 house.
